Here are some recommendations to help keep your B/R account secure.
Personal information
B/R will never ask for personal information such as your B/R account password. If you receive any communication (e.g. texts, emails, phone calls, or social posts) that ask for personal information, it's likely a phishing scam.
Here’s how to spot phishing attempts:
- You’re asked to purchase something (including gift cards, pre-paid credit cards, or crypto currency).
- You’re asked to participate in an offer that’s exclusive only to you.
- You’re asked to pay through a third-party website.
- You’re asked to click on a URL you haven’t visited before. If you clicked on the link, don’t enter any information.
If you’re concerned you’ve accidentally shared personal information with a party pretending to be B/R, here’s what you can do:
- Contact your local authorities and bank to report any fraudulent activity.
- Contact us to share the details of the phishing attempt.
More security tips
You can help protect your account by following these suggestions:
Password recommendations
Your password should be:
- Unique to B/R. Don't use a password that you use with other websites or apps.
- At least 10 characters with no more than 4 repeating characters in a row.
To help keep your B/R account secure, it's a good idea to periodically change your password.
Don't share your account info
Keep your account email and password safe by not sharing it with anyone.
Check your account email address
Make sure your account email address is correct. This way you'll get important emails about your account—like the email we send if you need to reset your password.
